Citywealth has won a Silver 'Stevie' Award for its work with women in business. Karen Jones, Founder and CEO of Citywealth collected the award in New York on Friday night on behalf of the company. The Stevie was awarded in the 'Women Helping Women – Business' category, during the 11th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards are presented to female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organisations they run. The winners were selected by a committee, with more than 160 executives worldwide participating in the judging process this year.
More than 1,200 entries from 22 nations were received, including from global giants such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, American Express and PepsiCo.
Citywealth has made significant progress in helping women in the wealth sector advance in their careers. In addition to running a mentoring club for senior women for the past four years, called Women in Wealth, the Power Women Awards were launched in January 2014, to recognise these women for their excellence.
This year, Citywealth also launched its first ever research report on women's views on gender diversity and leadership in the wealth sector, in association with the LSE. The results, which surveyed 153 businesses, were published in summer 2014.
