Based in Grenoble, Tihive deploys technology for industrialists, combining Terahertz imaging and artificial intelligence, designed to inspect thousands of units per minute directly on the manufacturing lines.
Traditional methods, based on destructive and often partial samples, leave a risk of unsected defects. Tihive offers an alternative that makes it possible to inspect the entire production in real time. “Too many products still leave factories without complete control, resulting in customer dissatisfaction, waste, ineffectiveness and avoidable costs. Tihive responds to this challenge thanks to integrated Terahertz-II technology and end-to-end support, until achieving performance indicators, “explains Hani Sherry, founder and CEO of Tihive.
Installed directly on the production lines and connected to the cloud, the systems developed by Tihive are based on semiconductor chips capable of generating and detecting Terahertz waves, associated with advanced optics and an IA software platform. These non -ionizing waves allow you to “see through” the materials and identify the compliance of the products in real time. Already adopted by international industrial groups, this technology opens up perspectives in hygiene, textiles, recycling, agriculture and space.
The first deployments in the absorbing hygiene industry demonstrated measurable environmental gains. An equipped line saves up to 300 tonnes of super-absorbent polymers per year, the equivalent of 1,500 tonnes of co₂ avoided. The company has also been the largest database in the world on the quality of baby and adult layers, already analyzing millions of products each week.
This approach opens the way to more efficient industrialization, where product quality, waste reduction and performance optimization is directly integrated into the manufacturing process. As Hani Sherry points out, “our objective is clear: to qualify several billion products each year, to help industrialists offer optimal quality to their customers, while reducing costs and saving large -scale resources”.
Tihive announced a lifting of 8 million euros led by Karista, Wind and EIC Fund. This funding must make it possible to accelerate the marketing of its patented solutions, to develop a new generation of Terahertz chips and to strengthen its international expansion. Founded in 2017 by Hani Sherry and Carlos Prada, the company now has 14 employees and has five patents.
