Crowdstrike acquires Spanish Onum for 290 million euros and strengthens its Falcon Next-Gen Siem

Crowdstrike announced the acquisition of Onum, a Madrid startup founded in 2023, specializing in real -time management of telemetry flows. This operation aims to strengthen Falcon® Next-Gen Siem, the new generation solution for the American publisher, and to accelerate the implementation of autonomous SOCs integrating artificial intelligence.

Onum has developed data architecture to transform telemetry into an exploitable intelligence from its issue. Its filter platform, enriches and optimizes data flows on the fly, avoiding deferred processing specific to traditional SIEMs. It can treat up to five times more events per second than its competitors, halve the storage costs and accelerate the response to incidents by 70 %.

This acquisition is part of a data integration strategy at the heart of the Crowdstrike Falcon® platform. By integrating onum technology, Crowdstrike intends to offer enriched and optimized flow safety teams in real time, in order to improve threat detection and the efficiency of AI tools.

Onum had raised 28 million euros in April 2024 during a series tour led by Dawn Capital, with the participation of Kibo Ventures and Insight Partners. Its takeover by Crowdstrike for around 290 million euros is one of the fastest outings of the European cybersecurity ecosystem.
