Rofim raises 10 million euros to accelerate the coordination of care in Europe

Telemedicine is no longer just a matter of teleconsultation. In a health system faced with the increase in chronic diseases and the need to streamline the routes, the stake moves to coordination. It is on this land that Rofim, Medtech Marseille founded in 2018, built its positioning.

Its SaaS platform brings together in the same environment features which, so far, were often scattered such as tele -expertise, multidisciplinary consultation meetings, teleconsultation, secure messaging and medical imaging sharing. All designed to be interoperable with hospital information systems. This centralization allows medical teams to cooperate remotely with a time and precision saving, in particular to quickly orient patients towards the right specialists.

The startup was first imposed in the overseas territories, where the deficiencies in medical supply are particularly marked. She demonstrated the robustness of her model in difficult conditions, between geographic distance and shortage of specialists. The adoption then extended with more than 70,000 health professionals distributed in 1,700 establishments in ten countries.

The upcoming challenge for Rofim is European, the startup targets Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, four markets with very different care organizations. Each country requires its own regulatory constraints, integration standards and hospital funding models. This expansion will require adaptation capacities as much technological and organizational.

Beyond technical interoperability, ROFIM focuses on the development of semantic artificial intelligence tools, in order to provide practitioners with finer and better contextualized analysis of medical records. In a context marked by the multiplication of clinical data and the growing requirement of diagnostic relevance, this orientation could constitute a strategic differentiation.

Since 2023, the company has adopted the status of a mission company, reaffirming its desire to reduce inequalities in access to care and to strengthen the continuity of the routes. For Emilie Mercadal, CEO of Rofim, “this fundraising allows us to accelerate the implementation of the vision that we have been carrying since the first day: permanently structuring the coordination of care as a concrete lever for the transformation of the health system”.

Rofim has announced a lifting of 10 million euros led by its historic investors, the Territorial Bank, Orange Ventures Impact and South Investment Region, with the arrival of Caap Création and Buena Vista Capital. Founded in 2018 in Marseille by Dr. David Bensoussan and Emilie Mercadal, the company plans to bring its workforce to 50 employees by the end of 2025 and to continue its expansion in Europe.
