Beyond the communication on new generations of smartphone or last Hightech product, the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona is the scene of innovations that transform Telecom infrastructure in order to develop new services. Bubbleran, French Deeptech specializing in the intelligent management of telecom infrastructure, presents several innovations including a 5G network cutting technology controlled by AI, developed in partnership with Telenor Research & Innovation and Nvidia, as well as Eco-Ran, an industrial 5G software solution designed with Amarisoft.

The integration of artificial intelligence in the management of 5G networks is a strategic turning point for telecommunications. So far, network cutting – or Network Slicing – was based on predefined static rules, limiting the capacity of operators to adjust the quality of service in real time depending on demand. Bubbleran provides an answer by introducing an approach based on generative and agentic AI, capable of continuously analyzing the state of the network and dynamically reallor the resources. Solutions that not only improve the quality of service for client companies, but also to reduce operational costs by optimizing the use of infrastructure.

The experiment carried out with Telenor Research & Innovation targets 5G private maritime networks, an environment where the insulation of network resources is essential. On a cruise ship, for example, it is imperative to prioritize critical flows related to navigation and safety systems, without altering the experience of passengers connected to streaming or telephony services. Bubbleran’s solution is based on NVIDIA NIM and NEMO microservices, which allow you to develop telecommunications models capable of automatically adjusting network configurations according to real -time uses and constraints.

Beyond the network division, Bubbleran and Amarisoft also announce Eco-Ran, a software solution for industrial infrastructure. Designed to meet the performance and energy efficiency challenges, this technology introduces a multi-cellules management framework which rethinks the way in which the Handovers-the transition from one antenna to another-are operated. Today, these transitions are triggered by the mobile terminals themselves, generating significant energy consumption and an increased load for the network. With Eco-Ran, mobility management becomes centralized and piloted by algorithms capable of intelligently balance the load between the different cells of the network.

Another announcement during this 2025 edition, Bubbleran joined the AI-Ran Alliance alongside key players in the Nvidia sector, Ericsson, SoftBank or T-Mobile USA.

Founded in Sophia-Antipolis, Bubbleran is a spin-off ofEurecomincubated within Techforward. Specializing in the automation of private 5G networks thanks to artificial intelligence, the start-up was co-founded by Navid Nikaeinresearcher at Eurecom and a key figure in the development ofOPENAIRTERFISan open-source project dedicated to mobile networks.
