PSG Equity is strengthening its foothold in artificial intelligence by acquiring a stake in Mistral AI, while sealing a strategic partnership with the French startup. The agreement aims to accelerate the integration of Mistral’s language models and agentic AI tools within 160 software companies of the fund’s global portfolio.
This double operation, financial and industrial, illustrates a major evolution from technological investment capital towards the portfolio economy. For Mistral AI, this collaboration provides direct access to an international ecosystem of SaaS publishers and mid-market companies, a key segment for the distribution of its solutions. The partnership will accelerate the adoption of its open source technologies and expand its presence in North America and Europe. PSG Equity thus intends to make Mistral a transversal lever of productivity and innovation for its investments, by developing Verticalized LLMs adapted to their professions.
“This partnership represents a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our offering to mid-sized publishers,” said Marjorie JaniewiczChief Revenue Officer of Mistral AI.
This announcement comes as a continuation of the Series C financing round announced on September 9, 2025to which PSG Equity took part alongside new investors. Based in Paris, Mistral AI continues its international expansion and consolidates its positioning as European AI infrastructure provider for software and technology services companies.
