The ISAGRI Group, a European player in digital solutions for agriculture, announces the acquisition of Sencrop, a specialist in agro-meteorological and irrigation solutions. This operation is part of ISAGRI’s Horizon 2028 project, aiming to make the group a global technological player in connected agriculture.
A response to climatic and economic challenges
Sencrop, known for its expertise in collaborative agro-meteorology, now integrates a solid family structure. The company, which operates in 35 countries with more than 40,000 active weather stations, plays a key role in climate and agronomic data management. This acquisition will allow users – farmers, cooperatives and agricultural businesses – to benefit from an expanded network and a strengthened service offering.
This operation takes place in a context where agricultural margins are under increasing pressure and where climate change imposes an agro-environmental transition. “For farmers, acting at the right time with precise weather data can make a significant difference in yields,” explains Martin Ducroquet, co-founder of Sencrop.
Technological synergies and consolidation
The integration of Sencrop into the ISAGRI Group strengthens the group’s position in the precision agriculture market. By absorbing Météus, its own weather service, ISAGRI is increasing its expertise in the collection and analysis of climate data. This alliance also makes it possible to consolidate irrigation and crop risk management solutions, while offering continuity of service to current users.
“This acquisition allows us to rely on a European gem that shares our DNA of innovation and customer service,” says Pascal Chevallier, Managing Director of ISAGRI. The two companies intend to take advantage of their synergies to accelerate their development in Europe and internationally.
A common vision for the agriculture of tomorrow
With this acquisition, ISAGRI is banking on data and artificial intelligence to meet the growing demands of connected agriculture. The objective: to offer efficient tools for optimized management of agricultural resources, in line with current environmental and economic needs.
For farmers, this integration guarantees the sustainability of existing investments in weather stations and opens the way to ever more efficient solutions. “We are delighted to accelerate the development of our collaborative platform and improve our services,” concludes Michaël Bruniaux, co-founder of Sencrop.
By joining forces, ISAGRI and Sencrop confirm their central role in the digital transformation of European agriculture.
