Created in 2024 by Eduardo Ronzano (CEO), Anne-Carole Cöen, and Mehdi Chraibi, Kolet won in less than a year in everyday life of more than 300,000 travelers thanks to the promise to immediately, all over the world, without SIM card, without hidden additional costs, and without the usual jargon of Telecom operators.
The product, a 100 % digital ESIM activated in a few clicks, integrates directly into the customer routes of airlines, OTA or travel agencies. This B2B2C model, rarely explored in telecoms, allows Kolet to bypass traditional distribution channels. The end customer does not go through a shop or an operator, but through the actor of the trip who already organizes his trip.
This approach allows the brand to avoid technical vocabulary or aging codes of the sector. Kolet never uses the word “operator” and is rather defined as a service integrated into the travel experience. The objective is that the user remains connected upon landing, without having to think about it.
“”We do not sell gigas or cards: we guarantee a fluid, reassuring, and deeply human experience“Explains Anne-Carole Cöen, co-founder and CMO. Through this servical approach, Kolet is addressed as much to travelers as to the actors of the Travel, themselves in search of new relays of monetization and loyalty.
With a new fundraising, the team wants to invest in three development axes: enrich the application with targeted features, facilitate the installation of the first ESIM with freemium offers, and strengthen product and tech teams. A dozen recruitments are planned over 12 months, in France and internationally.
The startup can count on a network of partners notably Air France, KLM, Kiwi.com, Exoticca, Evaneos, or Wego who integrated Kolet into their customer journey. Result: high conversion rates and user satisfaction that peaks at 4.9/5 on blinds.
Kolet has just raised $ 10 million (around 9.3 million euros) in series A. The Tour was led by Daphni, with the participation of major figures in the sector like Peter Kern (ex-CEO of Expedia), Jon Gieselman (ex-Apple), Philippe Chérèque (ex-Amadeus / American Express GBT), as well as 9900 capital. To this sum is added 1 million euros in non -dilutive debt granted by Bpifrance. The startup targets the milestone of the million users by the end of 2025.
