Alchemy initiates a collective dismissal plan and envisages its dissolution

The company Alchemy, specialized in white brand video broadcasting solutions, announced on May 16, 2025 the opening of a collective dismissal procedure for economic reasons. This decision concerns 26 employees of the company. In parallel, the company will offer its shareholders to decide on its anticipated dissipation during a General meeting scheduled for June 27, 2025.

Degraded results and loss of a major contract

Since the beginning of the year, Alchemy has been facing a strong degradation of its commercial performance. The loss of a significant contract with one of its main customers, combined with the absence of new income, has greatly weakened the activity. These elements are added to an already difficult trajectory marked by a decreased turnover (€ 8.1 million in 2024 against € 11.3 million in 2023) and a net loss of € 1.84 million last year.

Attempts to recovery without success

Faced with a rapid deterioration of its activity, Alchemy has initiated several actions to try to straighten its situation. The company notably carried out the Cession of its historical contracts to Digital Virgoin order to refocus its activity on its technological bricks. She also implemented a Cost reduction plancombined with significant financial support from its main shareholder, HLDwho granted a Dechroes of debt of 7.1 million euros.

These measures, although substantial, have not made it possible to restore the economic viability of the company. The prospects for assignment or backing have been exploredbut did not succeed. Discussions remain underway with a potential buyer, without warranty at this stage as to their culmination.

Towards an ordered closure

THE Social and Economic Committee (CSE) was summoned for May 21 to examine the collective dismissal project. Society indicates that its current cash enables it to cope with its obligations towards its employees, partners and customers. None liquidation bonus will not be distributed to shareholders.
