The stride analysis has long been reserved for professional laboratories and athletes. Ochy aims to democratize this approach through artificial intelligence and computer vision. Its application makes it possible to assess the biomechanics of a runner in real time, from a simple video taken with a smartphone.
Founded in 2021 by Khaldon Evans, Perrine Chapot and Victor Dequidt, the startup has developed a technology capable of measuring key metrics such as stride length and joint angles. The objective is to provide a precise diagnosis and a personalized exercise program, without using expensive equipment. This approach responds to a major issue: prevention of injuries linked to bad postures and an unsuitable technique.
Ochy has recently been integrated into the loyalty program Adidas Adicluballowing members to convert their points to free access to its biomechanical analysis service. This partnership with a major player in sport illustrates the evolution of brands towards digital services which extend the user experience beyond the simple purchase of equipment.
To accelerate its development, the startup has lifted 1.7 million euros in pre-buckling with the Social Impact Fund of Redstonewith the participation of Look ai ventures, Bpifrance, Berkeley Skydeck and strategic investors such as Agile Physical Therapy.
