The APAC region is becoming the new playground for cyber criminals and is therefore taking a central place in the strategy of global cybersecurity players. The region is home to 60% of the world’s population and already represents more than 30% of global GDP.
Its accelerated digitalization, including the deployment of digital payment solutions, the use of superapps, accelerated adoption of AI and investments of several hundred billion dollars in data centers are opportunities, but also sources of threats. The APAC region concentrated more than 34% of attacks recorded globally in 2024, ranking it first on the global podium. Southeast Asia and Oceania are particularly affected and impacted.
