Swarmia raises 10 million euros to equip CTOs

Swarmia offers a new standard, that of Engineering Intelligence and intends to reposition CTOs no longer as simple guarantors of velocity, but as pilots of readable, documented and actuable performance. The startup has just raised 10 million euros to intensify its presence in the United States and enrich its platform.

The promise of Swarmia is based on an observation widely shared in Tech-ST organizations: developers’ productivity data exist, but remains exploded, poorly exploited or sources of tension. By aggregating the signals from tools like Git, Jira or Slack, the platform provides technical leaders with a clear vision of the product execution, systemic obstacles, and the well-being of the teams.

“” Swarmia helps organizations to master the three pillars of engineering efficiency: business results, developers’ productivity and their work experience “Said in a press release Otto Hilska, founder of the company and former creator of Flowdock. “” Our platform gives technical leaders the means of directing with confidence, rationalizing their operations and supporting sustainable growth. »»

Rather than imposing rigid kpis, Swarmia combines quantitative indicators and qualitative feedbacks in a thought for collaboration. It allows in particular to visualize the technical debt, to identify chronic blockages in the delivery cycles or to detect internal voltages between product roadmap and real load of developers. A positioning that seduces scale-ups like Docker, Miro, Webflow or Trustpilot, but also companies looking for thinner management of their R&D teams.

The fundraising was co-menaged by Dig Ventures and Karma Ventures, and supported by several influential individual investors, including Romain Huët, Head of Developer Experience at Openai, and Cal Henderson, co-founder of Slack. This tour of the table will allow Swarmia to strengthen its sales teams and produces, in particular on the North American market where the competition on this segment is intensifying.
