Indy.fr strikes a strategic blow by announcing the acquisition of Lycha, the billing software developed by the Surche Coover, as well as the user bases of Coover invoiced and Coover Devis. The operation concerns more than 60,000 professionals, who will be added to the 150,000 independents already users of the Lyonnaise solution.
A determining regulatory context
This acquisition is in a pivotal moment for invoicing in France. From 2026, all companies will be forced to go through electronic billing, via partner dematerialization platforms (PDP) approved by the tax administration. Indy has already obtained its approval and is thus positioned as one of the key players in this transition.
For Coover, the choice is that of refocusing, the Sontentech, created in 2020, prefers to abandon an activity which has become too complex to maintain in a moving regulatory framework to focus on its core business, namely professional insurance. With more than 15,000 customers, Coover continues to grow without resorting to fundraising, imposing itself as an agile alternative on the market.
Indy muscle his position
With this takeover, Indy is not content to expand its user portfolio. The startup strengthens its mission: simplifying the administrative and accounting life of the self -employed. By offering a free electronic billing solution, enriched with a professional account and pre-accounting services, Indy hopes to convert some of the new entrants to its paid offers (subscriptions from € 12/month for tax and social declarations).
“The coming reform is a turning point for many professionals. Our role is to offer them a simple, compliant and free solution, so that they can focus on what matters: their activity, “said Côme Fouques, CEO and co -founder of Indy.
Market consolidation
The acquisition illustrates a broader trend with the reform of 2026 which acts as a consolidation accelerator. Only actors capable of following technical and regulatory requirements, while providing fluid support from users, will be able to impose themselves. With 86 million euros raised since its creation and a team of 300 employees between Lyon and Paris, Indy now has the means to play this role.
“It is naturally that we have chosen Indy, a recognized player in online accounting and invoicing for the self -employed,” commented Pierre Fruchard, CEO of Coover and CO founder of Pappers, highlighting the desire to transmit its invoicing activity to a partner able to guarantee the continuity of the service.
A nice blow before the rocking
By offering itself the COVER invoicing activity, Indy takes one step ahead in the race for compliance and the volume of users. The stake exceeds the simple acquisition of a customer base, it is a question of anchoring the brand as the essential electronic billing tool for the self -employed. Less than a year from the entry into force of the reform, Indy thus consolidates its place among the winners of the structural transformation which is announced.
