Pharmacies spend more than 30 % of their time managing their relations with suppliers: negotiations, orders management, promotions monitoring or even management of expired products. An administrative burden that increases even if the margins of pharmacists are reduced, forcing them to optimize their processes without compromising the quality of customer service. It is on this precise need that Faks has positioned, on a chessboard where other players evolve like Smart RX, Pharmavale or Pharmagest.
A technological response to a strong sectoral need
Founded in 2020, FAKS is developing a SaaS platform which centralizes all interactions between pharmacies and laboratories. Integrated messaging, appointment planning, management of promotions and commercial commitments: the solution fluidifies exchanges and reduces the administrative load of pharmacies. Its economic model is based on a freemium approach for pharmacies and a subscription based on use for laboratories. In just four years, the start-up claimed 17,000 client pharmacies-85 % of the French market-and collaborates with around fifty laboratories.
A fundraising to structure growth and extend to Europe
After a first round of 5 million euros in 2023, FAKS completed a second funding of 5 million euros from Speedinvest, Connect Ventures, Seedcamp and FJ Labs, supplemented by a loan of one million euros, bringing the total to 6 million euros. This capital will be used to improve the product thanks to artificial intelligence, the launch in Spain and Italy, and the strengthening of technological teams.
