Parisian fintech FAKTUS lifted 56 million euros to develop its financing platform dedicated to craftsmen and small construction companiesa segment historically neglected by banks. The operation combines 9 million euros in capital brought by Lakestar And FundamentalAnd 47 million euros in debt provided by funds managed by Insight Investment And Fost Capital.
Founded in 2023 by Alexandre Pochon And Reda KabbajFAKTUS is the first European neobank designed for the construction sector. Its platform, powered by artificial intelligence, evaluates invoices, contracts and construction schedules in order to reduce the time for granting financing from several weeks to two hours. It offers professional accounts with real-time cash flow monitoring, invoice financing solutions, material advances and retention guarantees allowing funds to be released at the end of the project.
Since its launch, the company has already financed more than 470 construction sites for a total amount of 100 million eurosincluding projects such as Roland-GarrosTHE Senateof the schools, hospitals And social housing. Faktus relies on a team of 30 employeesdistributed between 13 regional agencies and a Parisian headquarters, bringing together profiles from construction, finance and tech. Among them, alumni of BNP, Qonto, Revolut, Saint-Gobain, FFB, Coface Or Miraklcapable of combining institutional rigor, understanding of the field and mastery of automation tools.
Faktus’ positioning is based on the idea of reconnecting finance to the real economy. In traditional banking, construction SMEs are in a blind spot, considered too small for business centers and too complex for professional networks. Faktus reverses this approach by directly financing construction sites rather than companies, based on the analysis of contractual documents and the operational reality of the projects.
This approach makes it possible to respond to a structural problem as average payment terms in the sector exceed 80 days, weakening the cash flow of even profitable companies. By integrating AI and business expertise, Faktus wants to build a vertical bank, capable of providing concrete answers to a sector which represents nearly 10% of European GDP.
With this lifting, Faktus plans to finance 500 million euros of projects from here 18 monthsconsolidate its national coverage and extend its operations to United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal from here 2026.
