Your customers say it all. You still have to listen to them

A sales call or an exchange with customer service contains a quantity of information that is rarely structured: an objection, hesitation about price, a product irritant, the mention of a competitor, an intention to purchase. Once the conversation is over, most of this material disappears or is reduced to a few lines entered in a CRM.

Conversational AI is a game-changer. Advances in speech-to-text, natural language processing and language models now make it possible to transcribe these exchanges, but above all to extract and structure useful information. The call no longer constitutes just a communication channel: it becomes a source of data in its own right.

What businesses can learn from their conversations.

For sales departments, the first area of application is obvious. The analysis of a large number of calls allows recurring objections to emerge, to identify certain sequences which lead to conversion or to compare practices within a team.

But interest quickly goes beyond just sales. Conversations can also bring up customer irritants, churn signals or product expectations and thus feed into marketing, support or the roadmap.

This is undoubtedly where the most interesting change lies: the transition from a company that stores information to a company capable of learning from its own exchanges.

This development also raises new questions. What happens to this conversational memory when it is analyzed by AI models? Where is the data hosted? Who can use them? How far can the relationship be automated without degrading its quality?

Questions that are becoming central as telephony, CRM and artificial intelligence begin to converge.
