By raising an additional 25 million euros, FLIP intends to accelerate the deployment of its software infrastructure intended for 2.7 billion “deskless” workers in the world, these employees without a fixed post, which however represent 80 % of the overall work force but remain under-equipped in digital tools.
Founded in 2018 within Porsche, the German company is responsible for connecting field teams to support functions (HR, internal communication, operational direction) via an all-in-one thought platform for non-sedentary environments, production chains, shops, health services, logistics. Flip digitizes all contact points between organization and these employees, planning, onboarding, knowledge management, feedback, notifications.
The challenge is to reduce internal friction, improve the circulation of information, automate repetitive processes, and, ultimately, strengthen talent retention in sectors with high rotation.
A unified platform carried by the AI
In 2024, Flip took a step by acquiring the British company The Bot Platform, former Meta-partner, in order to enrich its technological base with low-code functionalities and HR oriented IA engines. This integration made it possible to launch “Flip Intelligence”, a module which automates the planning of shifts, document management, feedback of feedback and the integration of new recruits – without using third -party tools.
The whole is part of a logic of simplification and centralization of tools for field teams. Where many companies juggle between fragmented software, WhatsApp, Excel files and wall display, Flip offers a unique interface, accessible on mobile, thought for the field.
A traction confirmed on the market
The platform is already used by more than 500 companies, including McDonald’s,, Rossmann,, Boschor Porscheits first industrial partner. The company also claims international deployments in Australia, Norway or the United States, with customers such as Ben & Jerry’sL’Australian Football League Or School of Rock.
To support this expansion, Flip recruited Simon Eckformer EMEA sales director at Staffbase, as SVP Global Sales. His arrival must accompany the transition to scale in the Anglo-Saxon markets.
Dynamic competition in France
If Flip benefits from an advance on the native integration of AI, several French actors occupy the same field of action:
- Skello And Snapshift (became Combo) offer planning and field team management solutions, especially in catering, retail or health.
- Zestmeup And Wittyfit cover the dimensions of commitment, communication and feedback.
- Workelo Automatizes onboarding routes.
Flip is distinguished by its all-in-one integrated approach, specifically designed for “non-cadres” and industrial environments, with a product orientation turned towards theOn -board AI Rather than the stack of software bricks.
Based in Stuttgart, Flip was founded in 2018 by Benedikt Brandthen trainee at Porsche. The company has lifted a total of 52 million euros Since its creation, including 25 million in this series extension led by Lea Partners, HV Capital, Capital notion And Roland Berger. In 2024 she acquired the British startup The Bot Platformand claims more than 500 customers internationally, including McDonald’s,, Bosch,, Porsche,, Ben & Jerry’s or theAustralian Football League.
