When AI is invited to the veterinarian: Lupa raises 17 million euros

Lupa, British startup founded in 2023, wants to lighten the administrative load of veterinarians, using its AI dopy platform in order to replace historical software with a complete operating system, capable of reducing the time spent in front of the screen and improving patient monitoring.

Lupa promises measurable results from the first week of deployment. According to the company, practitioners earn on average one hour of work per day and the return on investment is doubled compared to existing solutions. Onboarding does not take more than twenty-four hours, against an average of two weeks for traditional software.

The company is based on an integrated approach: a single software environment replaces up to seven different tools, from clinical management system to messaging between practitioners and animal owners. LUPA also offers a mobile application for end customers, making it possible to book an appointment, pay a consultation, or access the digital health book of their animal.

In parallel, Lupa created the Veterinary Ai Laba research center dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to animal health. This laboratory brings together researchers and engineers from Deepmind, Meta Ai, Doctolib or Palantir, alongside veterinarians in the field. Its mission: to design AI agents capable of covering the entire care course, while collaborating with regulators to establish international ethics standards in matters of Petcare.
