Founded four years ago by Victoire Bach and Matthias Lesage, Hopia positions himself as an essential actor in the organizational transformation of hospitals and clinics thanks to an explanatable and adaptive artificial intelligence.
An AI at the service of establishments and caregivers
The management of schedules in health establishments mobilizes up to 80 % of the time of health executives, reducing their ability to focus on tasks with high added value. Hopia offers a technological solution that simplifies this management thanks to algorithms capable of optimizing schedules according to complex criteria: availability of caregivers, balance of their workloads and care priorities.
“With Hopia, we want to put people back to the center of the health system by making the schedules just and more stable, while releasing time for executives and caregivers,” explains Victoire Bach, co -founder. Hopia’s explainable AI allows you to take into account complex, often implicit rules, which structure the hospital organization. This innovative methodology lastingly transforms the management of teams.
Measurable results and a concrete impact
In four years, Hopia has accompanied more than 1,700 users, divided into 20 structures such as the Brest CHU, the Saint-Joseph hospital group or Vivalto Santé.
With for recorded results:
- A reduction in time spent managing schedules, ranging from 50 to 90 %.
- An improvement in the quality of life at work thanks to fair and stable schedules, thereby reducing it.
- An increase in the patient’s management capacity, increased from 3 to 7 % with constant resources, with a significant decrease in the use of temporary workers.
New ambitions for 2025
With these successes, Hopia plans to extend its solution to new segments such as EHPAD, radiology centers and establishments for people with disabilities. The objective is to add a capacity dimension to its technology, by adapting the resources available to the real needs of patients.
A new product, “Hopia Course”, is also under development. It aims to optimize care paths according to resources and medical priorities, providing a response to the current disparity in care.
A fundraising to support growth
To accelerate its deployment, Hopia has just raised 3.5 million euros during a round table co-leaded by Iris and Kurma Partners, accompanied by Business Angels specializing in tech and health. This funding will allow the company to double its workforce by the end of 2025, by recruiting commercial and technical talents, while strengthening its presence on the French market.
