Tandem Health wants to become the European clinical operating system with 43 million euros in pocket

The Swedish Healthtech Tandem Health has just crossed a strategic course by announcing a fundraising of 43 million euros ($ 50 million) in series A. Founded in 2023, the young company now aims to build a native clinical operating system in artificial intelligence, designed to streamline the entire caregiver on a European scale. The operation is carried out by the Kinnevik fund, accompanied by Northzone, Amino Collective and Visionaries Club.

In reverse of automation speeches to all-VA, Tandem is part of a more pragmatic vision with a vocal medical assistant, designed to integrate the daily life of health professionals without modifying its nature. Its technology allows you to automatically generate real -time consultation notes, without entering or dictation. The reports are produced over the exchange between the clinician and the patient, and available at the end of the interview. Tandem today claims tens of thousands of users in Europe, with rapid penetration in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain.

“It is not automation for itself. It is to make possible a more human, more focused, more present treatment, ”specifies the Tandem team.

In the United Kingdom, the startup notably established a strategic partnership with Accurx, which allows more than 200,000 NHS professionals to access its technology. This massive deployment is to date one of the largest cases of operational use of health on the continent.

With this new financing round, Tandem considerably widens its ambitions, medical documentation is only an entry point towards a larger platform, thought as an integrated digital infrastructure for caregivers. The roadmap provides for the automated capture of clinical codes, decision -making assistance at the care point, and the coordination of patient routes, in a logic of fluid and contextual operability, all, insists the company, without ever withdrawing control to the clinician.

“We do not believe in the substitution of caregivers. We believe in reducing friction, silent and respectful, so that their attention goes where it is most necessary, ”sums up society.

Tandem is part of a context of increasing tension for European health systems. In France, a general practitioner spends an average of almost a third of his time to non -medical tasks, a rate that climbs in public hospitals. This overload is one of the main professional exhaustion factors. In this landscape, several actors try to automate all or part of the documentation: Microsoft (via nuance Dax), Amboss, Deepscibe or Heydoc. But existing offers are struggling to impose themselves on a scale, because of their cost, their complexity of integration or their lack of local anchoring.

In France, the solutions remain fragmented. Certain startups such as Synapse Medicine incorporate decision -making or security bricks, but without going to a real clinical bone. Tandem is distinguished by a solution natively designed for European specificities, adapted to the requirements of the GDPR, local certifications, and the coding and invoicing logics of each national system.

His team includes more than 20 doctors and psychologists, mobilized upstream to design a solution suitable for real practices and tools. The company indicates that it has collaborated with hundreds of healthcare establishments to anchor its tools in the uses of the field. It is now positioned as a supplier of critical infrastructure for the sector, in a logic of healthy software sovereignty.
