Greentech: 2,900 startups, € 2.2 billion lifted, but a still fragile model
France has 2,900 Greentech startups at the end of 2024, according to Bpifrance. They raised € 2.2 billion, or 30 % of the French venture capital, created 55,000 jobs and generated € 5.4 billion in turnover. Bpifrance injects more than 3 billion € to support the sector, but alert: without acceleration of private funding, French Greentech risks capping.
