GROWL raises 4.5 million euros to finance the launch of its connected punching bag

Growl, a Franco-American start-up by Leo Desrumaux And Nicolas de Maubeugewants to modernize this sport by combining connected sensors and artificial intelligence to offer an immersive experience to amateurs and professionals.

Growl’s flagship product is a connected punching bag equipped with a multitude of sensors, capable of analyzing user performance in real time. A virtual coach, visible via an integrated screen, guides the sessions, offers personalized training and adjusts the exercises according to the needs and level of the user. This solution allows you to train at home, while reproducing the sensations of traditional training.

Created in 2022, the startup has worked on the concept and is preparing to launch the pre-marketing of its offer in April 2025, the machine is planned for marketing in 2026, and will be sold at the price of $4,500. Growl also plans a subscription model starting at 150 dollars per month for exclusive content and software updates. The start-up targets a wide audience, ranging from amateurs to families, with an offer adapted for children aged 10 and over.

Growl just got up $4.75 million (around 4.5 million euros) during a financing round led by Skip Capitalwith the participation of Kima Ventures, Teampact Venturesand the UFC champion Cyril Gane. This funding will be used to finalize production of the device, launch pre-sales next April and strengthen its presence on the American market.
