The transplant will not have taken enough effect with Benjamin Revcolevschi, who succeeded Michel Paulin almost 2 years ago at the head of OVHcloud. Octave Klaba officially takes over the management of OVHcloud, at a strategic moment, as the company prepares to unveil its 2026-2030 plan.
The objective is now to accelerate the implementation of the new “Step Ahead” plan, which should extend ten years of investments in infrastructure and software.
This refocusing comes in a context where competition between hyperscalers is intensifying, OVHcloud, positioned on the European market, seeks to differentiate itself through an approach based on sovereignty, transparency and cost control. The company is banking on an offer capable of meeting the needs of European manufacturers and public services, concerned with compliance and technological autonomy. In a market where sovereignty has become a purchasing criterion, this positioning gives OVHcloud a tangible strategic advantage.
The group also intends to capitalize on its advances in disruptive areas, notably quantum and artificial intelligence. Octave Klaba has always defended a pragmatic approach with the deployment of efficient solutions at controlled costs, without giving in to the race led by the American giants. This orientation, faithful to the logic of profitable growth that it has imposed since the creation of OVH, could allow the group to consolidate its place and position itself sustainably for the second phase of the global competition on AI.
Twenty-six years after its founding in Roubaix, OVHcloud is entering a new phase of its development, more integrated and more vertical, to face the challenges of a decade dominated by AI, quantum, cybersecurity and digital sovereignty.
