THE CEECs are the new Silicon Valley of the EU. Renowned for the quality of their IT engineers, they have gone from being a low-cost backbone of IT development to that of centers of excellence from which new European unicorns emerge.
The appetite for the latest digital technologies makes this area one of the most dynamic outlet markets on the old continent. A wave of digital transitions applies at all levels: Cybersecurity, Fintech, Retail, education, health, Industries and Agriculture, energy transition, ICC, mobility, citizen services, back office, HR, etc.
Faced with regulatory and competitiveness challenges, increasing costs and a shortage of talent, private and public decision-makers in the CEE countries are opting for the latest digital technologies and are open to French expertise in the matter. This is especially the case in matters of Cybersecurity, Fintech or Industry 4.0.
Moreover, some IT industries now mature in the countries of the area present excellent opportunities for export opportunities and strategic partnerships. This is the case in Poland in video games, a sector which includes giants like CD Projekt, generated a turnover of €1.3 billion in 2022 and made the country the 3rd in Europe in terms of the number of people employed in this sector.
