FoodpilotMontpellier start-up founded in 2022, develops a solution to meet the challenges of transparency and traceability. Its digital platform allows companies in the sector to precisely assess the environmental impact of their products, based on data collected throughout the production chain.
A data based on data
Foodpilot aggregates information from accounting software and production management systems for client companies. The objective is to offer an exhaustive vision of agricultural and industrial practices, in particular by identifying the use of pesticides and the sources of CO₂ emissions. This analytical tool allows manufacturers to optimize their supplies.
The platform is a response to new European regulations, which impose increased transparency on the impact of their products on the food stakeholders. By integrating Foodpilot, companies can thus produce indicators in accordance with the standards in force and communicate more effectively to consumers.
A deployment to large groups and SMEs
If the solution was first adopted by major players, such as the Dijon Cereals cooperative, it is now available for SMEs and VSEs, thanks to a specific program in partnership with the Occitanie Region. Foodpilot thus supports twenty small businesses in the traceability of regional products, such as olive oil or aligot.
To establish its development, Foodpilot has lifted 4.5 million euros in January 2024with RDI Capital Investissement, BRED, Bpifrance and the South Savings Fund.
