Founded in 2023 in Lyon by Félix Balmonet and Glenn Verte, Chat3D develops a generative artificial intelligence technology capable of instantly transforming a photo, a drawing or a textual description into a ready to use 3D model. The company claims to want to make modeling as simple as a discussion, by removing the technical barriers that slow down its adoption.
Already used by video game studios, industrial companies and independent creators, the solution is accessible in several formats: an online application open to all, an API intended for professionals and tailor -made support for large accounts. A consumer version must be launched in October, with a simplified interface and a freemium model aimed at individuals, students and creators.
The company, from two founders to nearly twenty employees in less than a year, intends to accelerate its international development. “We want to make 3D creation as simple as possible. Thanks to Chat3D, anyone can go from an idea to a 3D model in a few clicks. This lifting will allow us to offer our technology to even more companies and creators, ”says Félix Balmonet, CEO and co -founder.
Investors highlight Chat3D’s ability to meet the concrete needs of digital creation actors. “While many projects are emerging in 3D modeling, our exchanges with several video game studios have convinced us: Félix and Glenn are distinguished by a unique product vision and a remarkable execution,” said Nicolas Rizk de Campus Fund. The young shoot also benefits from the Deeptech label in Bpifrance and the young company innovative research status. She collaborates with Nvidia and several public laboratories, while claiming a sovereign and responsible approach: models trained on controlled data games, without exploitation of protected works, and 100 % European accommodation infrastructure.
Chat3D announces a fundraising of 3 million euros bringing together Mesh Ventures, Campus Fund, Innov’Alpes, a group of Business Angels and Bpifrance. The company was founded in 2023 in Lyon by Félix Balmonet and Glenn Verte.
