Sator Regulatory Consulting are pleased to announce two new services, these are:Witness Familiarisation Training – An essential pre-hearing service for witnesses who are about to give evidence. Giving evidence can be a daunting and uncomfortable experience for witnesses – a poor performance at a hearing can undermine a witness’s confidence and the credibility of his/her evidence and can be detrimental to the case. Witness Familiarisation is a process which provides witnesses with a comprehensive understanding of the theory, practice and procedure of giving evidence and what is expected of them when they are required to give evidence. This includes familiarising the witness with the layout of the legal forum, the likely sequence of events when the witness will be giving evidence and a balanced appraisal of the different responsibilities of the various people at the hearing. During the sessions, witnesses are cross-examined in mock hearings unrelated to the case and follow-up cross-examination sessions can also be held for witnesses who are likely to be in the witness box for longer than a day. Crucially, all training is carried out by experienced lawyers. Anti-Bribery Awareness Training – The Jersey Financial Services Commission wrote to all registered persons early in the New Year setting out the Regulator's understanding of the impact of the UK Bribery and Corruption Law on people and businesses in Jersey. In addition to that local focus, the Financial Services Authority has also issued public statements about the importance it will attribute to this legislative development. Sator provides broadcast quality internet enabled training with testing, risk assessment and draft policies and procedures suited to your own business requirements. If you are interested in either of these services please have a look at our new and exciting website www.sator.je
