A new marketing support agency has opened its doors in Jersey recognising significant opportunities to grow its specialist qualitative marketing research and competitor analysis services and support local businesses by providing customer insight.

Having identified a gap in the local market for its niche services, 4Insight has opened new offices in St Helier, which include the Channel Islands’ only viewing studio with one-way mirrors and live video streaming for observing focus groups and in-depth interviews.

4Insight are also offering sophisticated ‘eye-tracking’ facilities, another first for the Channel Islands, which help determine the effectiveness of websites, advertisements and other digital communication materials. The facilities were demonstrated recently at an exclusive open evening event, attended by around 25 senior marketing and sales professionals.

Directors of 4Insight, Dorothy Parker and Ray Parker decided to open an office in Jersey having visited the Island regularly over the past ten years. With extensive experience providing marketing research services to a range of international blue chip businesses across Europe, North America and Asia, they were attracted to Jersey by both the lifestyle and a significant gap in the market for their international and niche expertise.

An authority on qualitative marketing research, Dorothy Parker is a specialist in brand building, perception analysis, positioning and customer segmentation. Ray Parker has particular expertise in competitor intelligence and business, brand and risk valuation.

Dorothy Parker said:

“We can help any organisation, regardless of size or sector, research and assess its offering and prospects of success by providing customer insights, using a range of sophisticated techniques. Particularly in a challenging economic environment, firms need to demonstrate a return on investment, so it makes sense for every penny spent on marketing to be backed up by evidence – something that need only reflect a very small proportion of the overall marketing budget.”

Having already appointed Joe McKenna as a Research Executive and Business Analyst since opening in Jersey, 4Insight is looking to recruit and expand the business further over the coming months.

Ray Parker added:

“We have come to Jersey at a critical time, when the Island is looking outside itself to find new markets and compete more effectively in the markets it already has. We believe we can assist this push, by making our facilities and advanced global expertise available locally to businesses, large and small.”
