Jersey Post to survey all households

Posted: 12/12/2011

Jersey Post GroupFrom today, all households will receive a survey from Jersey Post asking them for feedback on the postal service and its products and services.

Jersey Post has undergone substantial operational change in the last twelve months with the focus being on reducing costs to ensure the service can be sustained in the face of falling mail volumes. In recognition of this, the organisation is anxious to understand how the company is performing in the eyes of its customers and where improvements may still be required.

Chief Executive Kevin Keen said, “Each week we deliver around 500,000 items to around 43,000 addresses in Jersey. Given that a large part of what we do depend on human beings, things can occasionally go wrong, especially during a period of change as we have been through over the last few years. We are of course extremely sorry when this happens and are determined to improve wherever we can, whilst at the same time keeping costs down and therefore price increases to a minimum.”

“We're conscious that this is a busy time of year for people but also a time where the public is more likely to engage with the postal service. By asking all households for feedback we can establish some key priorities and objectives to work towards during 2012, which we intend to publish in the first quarter of next year and report against as the year progresses,” he continued.
