Herald Trust Company Ltd., part of the Herald Group, has a new team at its helm. Three new long-serving finance professionals have been appointed to the board. Peter Shirreffs has been appointed Chairman, Angus Taylor as Managing Director and Charlotte Eastwood as Director of Risk and Compliance. Peter also takes on the role of Group Chairman. Peter Shirreffs, the former regional director of NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland International, brings over 20 years' experience in offshore financial services. A Fellow and past President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Peter serves several companies in both an executive and non-executive capacity; he also acts as a management consultant in the island. He is actively involved in local charities, and has judged the Jersey Enterprise Awards for the past seven years. Angus Taylor, Managing Director of Herald Trust Company said: “Peter’s considerable experience in local and international banking makes him ideally positioned to advise Herald Group on our strategy going forward and I’m certain he will make a valuable contribution to Herald Group’s ongoing success.“ Angus Taylor, formerly the Deputy Chief Executive of Kleinwort Benson Group and Managing Director of Kleinwort Benson (CI) Limited, also joins the Herald Trust Company board as Managing Director. Angus's thirty years regulated financial services experience is extensive having held senior trust, banking and investment roles in Jersey, Guernsey and the UK. Angus holds an MBA in Financial Services, a DipFS and ACIB (Trustee) from the IFS and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Charlotte Eastwood, who is a qualified English solicitor, has extensive on and off- island corporate governance and risk management expertise, initially gained through her roles when working in two FTSE 250 public companies. She was previously employed as a senior manager in the corporate governance team at PwC Legal, and, closer to home, as Head of Secretariat for the Kleinwort Benson Group based out of Jersey. Charlotte is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and serves on the Jersey ICSA Council.
