Viberts Jersey Lawyers is the first legal practice in the Channel Islands to be accredited by the Law Society of England and Wales for delivering the highest standards of client care and practice management.
Lexcel is developed specifically for the legal profession. It is a recognised accreditation scheme, providing assurances that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.
To gain this prestigious quality mark Viberts had to undergo a rigorous independent assessment, including background checks and an in-depth onsite visit from an experienced Lexcel assessor against eight required standards of excellence. In order to maintain the accreditation Viberts will have to go through this process annually.
The Managing Partner, Advocate Zoe Blomfield (pictured) said: ‘We are extremely proud to be the first firm both in Jersey and the Channel Islands to secure this level of independent accreditation. And this reinforces the firm’s long-established ethos of putting the client first.
‘Lexcel accreditation demonstrates our serious commitment to client care and best practice. Our clients are the main beneficiaries as they can be assured that the way we manage the practice has their very best interests at heart and that because of the efficiencies we have achieved, we can provide best value in a highly competitive market.’
Advocate Blomfield added: ‘While we have always met the highest standards of customer care, the Lexcel system provides us with a comprehensive business structure, making us even more focused on the specific needs of each client, and requiring full transparency and accuracy in communicating our services, from the very start of the client relationship.’
The President of the Law Society of England and Wales, John Wotton, said: ‘By implementing policies, plans and procedures within Lexcel's key areas, such as client service and risk management, practices can show the positive steps they are taking to help clients in the increasingly diverse, complicated and competitive legal market. Lexcel acts as a beacon of quality to clients and potential clients alike.’
