LEXISNEXIS acquires DOCTRINE to integrate the entire legal AI chain

LEXISNEXIS finalizes the acquisition of DOCTRINE, for an undisclosed amount, a little over a year after the two companies clashed in court. The new group represents 800 employees and around 200 million euros in turnover in France, while DOCTRINE will initially retain its brand and its teams. The operation brings together LEXISNEXIS legal content and DOCTRINE AI workflows, used by 27,000 professionals, to cover research, analysis, drafting and automation. The stated ambition is to equip more than a million legal professionals in Europe. The Minister Delegate in charge of the Civil Service and State Reform, David Amiel, and Guillaume Carrère, president of Doctrine, formalized in November 2025, a partnership at the Adopt AI Summit, which aims to equip tens of thousands of administration lawyers with analysis, research and automated writing tools.

SEPTEO acquires LEXBASE and assembles its legal AI platform

SEPTEO finalizes the acquisition of the legal publisher LEXBASE, for an undisclosed amount, a few months after the takeover of the German stp.one for 550 million euros. The documentary collection supplied by more than 3,000 authors will be integrated into SEPTEO LEGAL, a platform bringing together firm management, research, assisted writing and legal analysis using AI from October. The group, which forecasts more than 500 million euros in turnover and nearly 200 million EBITDA in 2026, follows the same logic as LEXISNEXIS with DOCTRINE: simultaneously controlling the workflows and the content that forms the basis of the answers.

SORARE refinances with its historical investors and aims for profitability at the end of 2027

SORARE has completed a new round of financing for an undisclosed amount with BENCHMARK, ACCEL, PARTECH and KIBO VENTURES, with the participation of its founders. According to its founder, its net income increased by 85% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, while more than 100,000 players purchased cards and a million new users joined the platform in eighteen months. The funds will notably finance the development of the free Arcade mode and new products, with the objective of returning to profitability by the end of 2027. The startup had previously raised 635 million euros

MISTRAL is preparing to raise 3 billion euros at a valuation of 21 billion

MISTRAL is reportedly on the verge of raising 3 billion euros based on a post-money valuation of 21 billion, according to Sifted. The round would bring together SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS, the European fund Scaleup Europe managed by EQT, EURAZEO, NVIDIA and ASML, as well as several smaller investors. If confirmed, this financing would form a coalition around MISTRAL combining European capital, semiconductors and computing infrastructures, well beyond a classic venture capital syndicate.

Olivier Pailhes takes over the management of AIRCALL

Olivier Pailhes, co-founder of AIRCALL, returns to his role as CEO with the objective of getting closer to the product and customers.
