New Marine & Aviation Consultants Launch in Guernsey

Guernsey residents Duncan Swanson and Tom Becker have launched Oceanskies Limited, a new independent niche player in the superyacht and private jet consultancy market.

They possess over twenty years experience in the structuring of the ownership of yachts and aircraft in addition to the handling of their registration, documentation and operation.

As Oceanskies they will use this experience to support Channel Island based fiduciary businesses who may already look after yachts and aircraft within their client portfolios or have clients wishing to purchase such assets.

Tom said, "By working in partnership with local fiduciary businesses we can hopefully reduce the risk and exposure that yacht and aircraft ownership brings to professional trustees whilst at the same time enabling their clients' marine and aviation requirements to be fully and capably looked after 'in house'.

The company is also looking forward to capitalising on the launch of the Guernsey aircraft register later this year.

Duncan commented, “Although there are already many viable options for the registration of private aircraft it will I think be good for the island and hopefully, in partnership with Jersey, for the Channel Islands to have its own aircraft registry”

Next week the company will attend the London Boat Show. Duncan said, “I always look forward to the London Boat Show as the first of the season. This year it will be particularly exciting to be representing our own company for the first time.”
