Philip Swatman has been appointed as Chairman at Wyvern Partners, marking a new stage in the development of the firm.
Philip’s investment banking experience was largely gained at NM Rothschild where he was latterly Vice-Chairman of Investment Banking from 2001 until his retirement in September 2008, having originally joined the bank in 1979 as a Corporate Financier.
He was involved in many high-profile transactions, including the sale of Chubb to Williams, Northern Foods' acquisition of Express Dairies, the IPOs of Vodafone and William Hill, the defence of BPB against a hostile bid from St. Gobain, and the sale of Abbot Group to First Reserve.
Philip currently serves as non-executive Chairman of Cambria Automobiles plc and as a non-executive Director at New England Seafood International and Tower Resources plc.
