PBS Group continues to expand with the launch of its new insurance arm, PBS Insurance Limited. The business has been formed in a partnership between PBS Group Managing Director Tony Le Tiec, insurance expert Si Aziz and former Acorn Mortgages director, Steve Ryan. PBS Insurance Limited, which is regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission, will offer insurance advice and products to professional services and high net worth clients. The business was registered earlier this year and officially launched at the beginning of June. Si Aziz, Director of PBS Insurance said: ‘We will be offering a return to the traditional methods of the insurance market – personal service and solutions that are tailored to the client’s needs. With our direct lines of communication to top insurance companies and Lloyds of London Underwriters, we are able to source, direct, very competitive and efficient packages for specific client requirements, from partners who are experienced in the nuances of the Channel Islands and Offshore jurisdictions. We are confident that our partnerships will bring new expertise and products to the Island, making the local market more competitive.’ Tony Le Tiec commented: ‘PBS Group is celebrating 40 years in business this year. Over that period we have built the Group into a multi-faceted organisation that now delivers the complete spectrum of products and services to meet the needs of financial institutions and local businesses alike. Insurance is an important addition to the Group structure and I am excited to be working with such well known and highly regarded professionals as Si Aziz and Steve Ryan. The team is joined by Ian Pawsey who has more than ten years’ experience in the local insurance market. His role is to service new and existing clients, particularly in commercial, motor fleet, property and high net worth client products. PBS Insurance Limited is the first start-up business in the general insurance mediation sector to be granted a licence from the Jersey Financial Services Commission. PBS Group is one of the Channel Islands’ fastest expanding organisations with interests in aircraft and marine leasing, personal and commercial lending, technology, office design and secure print management.
