Mourant Ozannes has underlined its position as the leading offshore law firm, according to the latest rankings published by Legal 500 UK today.
The 2012 legal directory rankings, which include feedback from clients and peers, backed up by independent research, show that Mourant Ozannes has excelled with more tier one rankings across the Channel Islands than any other law firm.
Tier one rankings are significant because they demonstrate superior technical expertise and service excellence. In Guernsey Mourant Ozannes has achieved a tier one ranking in six out of seven categories and in Jersey the firm has a tier one ranking in all eight categories, having moved up one level in Private Clients, Trusts and Tax.
Guernsey Managing Partner Robert Shepherd said: "We are delighted to have maintained our position as the leading offshore law firm. Legal directories provide an important benchmark for the industry as they are based on independent research and client feedback. These results published in Legal 500 UK, underline our market-leading position and high levels of client service."
Jersey Managing Partner Daniel Birtwistle added: "I am delighted that Mourant Ozannes has been recognised as the only firm in Jersey with a top tier ranking in all eight categories. It is testament to the hard work of the team and our commitment to our clients."
In London Mourant Ozannes has achieved a tier one ranking, with clients commenting that the firm "has created real traction in the offshore market and set the standard to which other firms need to aspire."
