Consumerisation on the agenda at Digital JerseyDigital marketing strategist, Jon Pollard of leading London-based brand agency, BrocklebankPenn, will address the next Digital Jersey event on Thursday 24th May at the Grand Hotel.

Formerly Head of Digital at International agency Gyro, Jon’s role as Director of Digital Strategy at BrocklebankPenn sees him working with leading global brands. He will be sharing his insights into the consumerisation of technology – the process by which technological development is increasingly being driven by the consumer rather than businesses. Jon will examine consumer habits and will look at the practical effects of these changes on businesses.

Jersey-based brand experts, MalletCrane, are sponsoring the event and Noel Mallet has been instrumental in bringing Jon Pollard to the island.

“Jon is rightly viewed as a leading international digital strategist and it’s quite a coup to bring him to Jersey. Jon’s insights will be invaluable to anyone involved in the digital sector and I’m extremely grateful to him for taking the time to speak to Digital Jersey,” said Noel.

Luke Szkudlarek of Digital Jersey is sure the event will prove popular. “We’re grateful to MalletCrane for arranging for Jon to speak to Digital Jersey, we’ve already had a great response from members and I expect to see many people there.

“Digital Jersey now has over 600 members and as always, the event is free for them to attend. Anyone who is not a member but would like to join, should do so via the Digital Jersey website, www.digital.je.”

Digital Jersey, “IT Consumerisation - Dealing with the expectations”, will take place at the Grand Suite in the Grand Hotel on Thursday 24th May, starting at 1800. Entrance is free and everyone with an interest in Jersey’s growing IT sector is welcome.
