Carey Olsen has appointed three lawyers in its British Virgin Islands (BVI) office in a move that significantly extends the firm's banking, corporate and investment funds client offering.
Investment funds specialist Philipp Neumann and banking and corporate specialist Elizabeth Killeen have joined as senior associates and Sharon Mungall has been appointed as a legal associate specialising in corporate law, restructuring and insolvency matters.
Mr Neumann advises on investment fund formation and restructuring in the BVI and on the establishment of managed account structures. Mr Neumann is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and the BVI and also as an attorney in Germany and joined Carey Olsen from another leading offshore law firm in the BVI.
The BVI team is further strengthened by the appointment of Ms Killeen who advises on finance, banking and corporate matters involving BVI companies and partnerships. Ms Killeen is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and the BVI and has previously worked in the BVI with other respected law firms.
Ms Mungall is qualified as a lawyer in England & Wales, Scotland and the BVI advises on restructurings and insolvencies in a wide range of sectors. She has extensive experience advising on security enforcement options, security structures and validity of security. Ms Mungall worked for a major commercial law firm prior to joining Carey Olsen where she was involved with a number of complex and high-profile real estate restructurings.
