BlueCrest to move from Guernsey to Jersey

Posted: 13/11/2014

According to a report on Bloomberg.com, BlueCrest Capital Management LLP, the £16bn hedge fund firm, plans to move its headquarters from Guernsey to Jersey at the end of the year to seek better staffing options.

BlueCrest has applied to become licensed and regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission, moving operations to the island as of 31 December.

In a statement issued today, the company said: 'On completion of the migration, there will be no change to [BlueCrest's] existence as a company, other than the jurisdiction of its incorporation, company number and any consequential changes to its constitutional documents.'

“Jersey has a deep pool of talent for staffing BlueCrest’s corporate headquarters,” Ed Orlebar, a spokesman for the firm, told Bloomberg.
